Biz Buzz: March 14, 2018

Citrola’s Italian Grill and Pizzeria, 624 Rae Lynn St., will soon close its location off of 24 Road and move across town to Horizon Drive.

March 17 is the restaurant’s last day at its current spot and, according to the website at citrolasitaliangrill.com, it will reopen April 1 at 759 Horizon Drive.

The new location is no stranger to Italian food, as it was the home of Enzo’s Ristorante Italiano for many years. Enzo’s moved to 707 Horizon Drive, the former home of Sushi Rok, late last year.

Citrola’s will do some remodeling in the new location, including breaking down some walls, extending the dining area and redoing the counters.

■ Kannah Creek Brewing Company recently released two new German-style beers as the Edgewater Kolsch and Edgewater Alt are the newest additions to the lineup at the Edgewater Brewery, 905 Struthers Ave.

The beers were crafted with the brewery’s new decoction brewing system and the release serves as an introduction to the traditional German-style beers that will be produced in the future.

The Edgewater Alt is based on an old style of beer named after the fermentation style of top fermenting ale yeast. The slow and controlled fermentation produces low esters resulting in a clean, crisp beer. The malt forward ale is balanced with a mild spice hop profile.

The Edgewater Kolsch has the same fermentation process as the alt, resulting in a crisp beer with a grain and floral nose and a hint of honey sweetness. The high carbonation cuts the finish, leaving a refreshed palate.

Renovations are nearing completion at the Edgewater Brewery. The additional bar and 80 seats will more than double the inside capacity and provide space for private events and small concerts.
