21 celebrity baby girl names you might want to consider for your little one

Our obsession with celebrity babies is well-documented. From the moment a pregnancy is announced, we’re glued to our phones, excitedly searching the internet for any detail we can find so we’re in the know. How far along? Who’s throwing the baby shower? Who’s the daddy? (We’re looking at you, Mindy Kaling.) The biggest question of all, though, is probably this: What are they going to name the baby?! Alas, it seems we have a particular interest in celebrity baby girl names.

You needn’t look further than the recent fervor surrounding Kylie Jenner’s announcement of her baby girl’s name. It pretty much broke the internet when it was finally revealed, in case you forgot. And the longstanding tendency of celebs to bestow their littles ones with, erm, unique baby names certainly doesn’t hurt overall interest.

As it turns, out, there’s been actual research on why celebs tend to name their kiddos this way. Name expert Laura Wattenberg, author of The Baby Name Wizard, explains it as such:

“You would expect a community of creative artists to have somewhat more unusual naming patterns than the general public,” Wattenberg told Life’s Little Mysteries, according to NBC News in 2011. “They didn’t get where they are today by being conventional thinkers.”

Without further ado, here are some of the most unconventional (but beautiful) celebrity baby girl names.
