Lisa Bonet says she sensed ‘sinister’ energy from TV father Bill Cosby
While Bonet didn’t know specifics about his alleged sexual habits, “there was just energy. That type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”

In a new interview with the fashion website Net-a-Porter, former Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet broke her silence about her feelings towards her TV father, who is alleged to have drugged and sexually assaulted upward of 60 women over the course of 50 years.
Cosby was tried last fall on sexually assault charges brought by former Temple University athletic department employee Andrea Constand who says he assaulted her at his home in Montgomery County, Pa. It ended in a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Jury selection in his retrial is set to begin March 29.
“There was no knowledge on my part about (Bill Cosby’s) specific actions, but … There was just energy,” said the 50-year-old actress who played Denise Huxtable, his second-oldest child on the long-running NBC comedy. “And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”
She added, “If I had anything more to reveal, then it would have happened a long time ago. That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.”
Does Bonet feel any schadenfreude towards Cosby, with whom she feuded about appearing nude in the 1987 film Angel Heart and her pregnancy and engagement to Lenny Kravitz?
“I don’t need to say, ‘I told you so’,” she told interviewer Sanjiv Bhattacharya. “I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be.”
