I'm A Celebrity 2018 line-up: Coronation Street star to join jungle after turbulent year?
Michael Le Vell, Coronation Street veteran, is reportedly in talks to join the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here jungle in the winter.
The 53-year-old actor is reportedly a name the show’s producers are looking at bringing in.
A source revealed: “It’s still early days for producers on I’m A Celeb, but Michael is a name they’re looking at.
“He’s obviously desperate for the cash, but like Amir Khan this year, he’ll have a cracking back story.”
The source, speaking to The Sun, added: “And they’ll pay big bucks for a proper Corrie legend who will no doubt reveal all about his woes on the show.”
The actor who plays Kevin Webster in the ITV soap has reportedly been declared bankrupt after failing to manage his tax affairs.
According to The Mirror, HMRC were named as the petitioner in the High Court.
The publication also claimed that sources have revealed that the Weatherfield regular’s outstanding bill was “a six-figure sum”.
Another star rumoured to be heading into the jungle – or at least considering joining the bug-eating competition – is former Strictly pro Brendan Cole.
The Strictly Come Dancing star was axed from the dancing show earlier this year.
He announced the news in shocking scenes on Lorraine’s morning show – and viewers were in shock. But could he swap the dancefloor for the outback?
A source told The Sun: “Brendan is outspoken and ITV think he’d be gold.”
Leading bookmaker Coral makes it odds on, at 10-11, for ex-Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole to enter the jungle on the next series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
“Brendan left Strictly under a cloud but is being tipped for a swift return to our screens and it looks like we could well be seeing him Down Under next winter,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
