Milan Fashion Week Round-Up: From Gigi Hadid to a Tongue-in-Cheek Pop-Up Shop

Following New York, Malibu and London, the fourth and final installment celebrating the design collaboration between Tommy Hilfiger and model Gigi Hadid, took place at Milan’s fashion week. With an audience of approximately 2,000 in attendance and a Formula 1-style mega runway, the see-now-buy-now merch was available for purchase at shops set up on that very same runway.

This season, 22-year-old footwear designer Niccolò Berretta took things up a notch. The presentation of his fall/winter 2018/2019 collection – open to press, buyers and public – didn’t just mean a new range of tongue-in-cheek colorful designs, it also marked the opening of the “Giannico Gallery”. The latter is a pop-up shop located on Milan’s Via Borgonuovo 1. While initially scheduled to operate till February 27th, the space will keep its doors open till March 4th.

While fashion month is not over yet and it’s currently Paris’ turn to anticipate which pieces shall invade wardrobes the world over in the months to come, Milan left its fashion week audiences with plenty to look out for. From a series of upcoming Moncler collaborations which were celebrated on the fashion week’s opening night, to a Gigi Hadid takeover of the Italian fashion capital, these were some of the most memorable moments taking place in the city.
